"History"

After completing Project Entrepreneur at Boston College Law School, I formed Omar's Mobile Barbershop ("Omar's"): A new type of barbershop experience where I could bring my skills as a craftsman to people who were unable to go to a traditional barbershop. Many of us never consider a haircut a luxury, but individuals who are limited in their physical and/or mental abilities are often unable to come spend a Saturday afternoon at a barbershop.

Barbering is a universal need, but the true barber experience is more than just a quality haircut; it’s an opportunity to connect with someone, to spend half an hour giving someone else your entire focus. Those who can’t travel to a barbershop miss out on all of these things, and one of Omar’s main focuses is bringing that nostalgic barbershop experience to clients restricted to elder-care facilities, retirement and group homes, senior living centers, and hospitals, to help them relive past memories and improve their quality of life.
